December 4 ~ Shane's Rib Shack
Art Club had an awesome time today at our November meeting learning how to reverse tie-dye! For some, it was their first experience, and it turned out to be a blast for everyone involved. We had the chance to hang out, build relationships, and get creative with fashion together!

You can also view Teacher Interactions. This allows you to see how many times the teacher Locked the Screen, Opened a Tab, Closed a Tab, or Unlocked the Screen. Counseling Class Lessons
Throughout the school year counselors are facilitating classroom lessons using the Naviance/Henry Futures platform. This platform allows students to explore and begin creating post-secondary plans. Counselors guide students through different tasks and activities in each grade level where students learn information about colleges, careers, and overall life readiness skills. Students can access Naviance/Henry Futures from their school chromebook at any time for further exploration! Ask your student to share with you which careers they have saved on their Favorites List!
Volunteers Needed:
8th Grade Career Day 2025
If you would like to volunteer to be a speaker at our annual Career Day on the morning of Friday, March 14, 2025, please use the link below to complete a short survey! We will share additional details and follow up with you using the contact information you provide on the survey.
By sharing information about your job/career, you will assist in exposing our students to a variety of career pathways and options! Students will be inspired to continue to consider their post-secondary plans for college, career, and overall life readiness! Through this experience, students will also be able to see first-hand how school connects to the world of work while exploring the many possibilities for success in their futures!
Thank you so much for your help in making Ola Middle School a great place to learn!
If you are interested in volunteering to be a speaker please CLICK HERE to complete the Career Day Speaker Interest Survey!
Students should log any reading they do in the Beanstack app. Parents can learn how to use Beanstack here. We have prizes every month for our top readers and we will have a reader celebration in December for those students who reach 1800 minutes from August 1-December 15.
The 6th graders just finished creating a book trailer project from their own independent reading book. Make sure to ask your child about these projects and what they are reading. Thank you for your support as we work as a team to promote literacy with our students.
A special THANK YOU goes to Tim Broyles (State Farm), Charles Moon (Truist Bank), and Jett Blackburn (Lake Dow Chick Fil-A) for sponsoring (covering ALL of the cost – food, bus, driver, etc.) for our World Changers to attend the 2 day GA State PBIS Conference in December! In addition, our very own Morgan Walker (8th grade) was selected as Henry County’s PBIS District Ambassador. She has been invited (the only middle school panelist in the state) to speak at the GA PBIS State Conference!
