1. How do I request my experience using Verifent?
Go to the Verifent website and follow these instructions:
To get started, go to the Verifent website and click on "Initiate Experience Verification" in the top right corner.
Step 1: Hiring School District
A. Click ‘Choose a Hiring School District.’
B. Enter the Hiring District: Henry County Schools - GA
C. Click ‘Save Hiring District.’
Step 2: Enter Your Information
A. Use the toggle buttons to choose the forms you wish to request. Choose "Certified Experience Form" if you have applied for a certified position and "Classified Experience Form" if you have applied to a classified position. *
B. Enter your information and click ‘I Agree.’
C. Click the link on the confirmation email.
Step 3: Former School District(s)
A. Click ‘Enter ALL Former School Districts’
B. Enter the Former District(s) that you need an Experience Verification from.
a. If your Former District(s) does not drop down as you type under ‘Former School District Lookup’, click ‘Enter New District’, and enter the information requested. ***Multiple Former Districts can be selected***
C. Click ‘Close’ and ‘Next Step’
Step 4: Choose ‘Free’ or ‘Premium’
*Please note that the "Certified Experience Form" is set to yes by default. Everything else is set to no.
2. How long does it take to get verification through Verifent?
The length of time it takes is dependent upon the responding (former) district(s). Once an employee submits a request, it is automatically sent to the former district(s). It is then up to those districts to complete the verification request. Once the former district submits the completed form, it is available for HCS to review.
It is up to the employee to contact their former district(s) if HCS has not received a verification that has been requested.
3. How will I know that a Verifent verification has been received in Human Resources?
New hires will receive a Certification & Verification Overview via email. The Certification & Verification Overview is updated continuously as certification and previous work experience is verified.
4. What should I do if my previous district does not use Verifent?
If the former district has a verification form that they prefer to use we can accept that as long as it contains all necessary information. If the former district does not have a form that they prefer, this form can be completed by their Human Resources department. Verifications not submitted through Verifent should be emailed to compensation@henry.k12.ga.us by the responding district/employer's Human Resources department.
5. I'm having trouble with the Verifent website. Who should I contact?
If you encounter any problems with the Verifent website or have trouble completing your request, please contact the Verifent Support Team at support@verifent.com.
6. Will the HCS Human Resources Department contact previous employers to obtain verification?
No. It is the employee's responsibility to ensure that verification forms are sent to the appropriately identified former employers and contact these employers if the forms are incomplete or delays occur.
