2. What is the Paraprofessional Assessment?
The Paraprofessional Assessment is an assessment offered by GACE that consists of reading, writing, and mathematics.
3. Is the Paraprofessional assessment required for ALL Paraprofessionals?
Paraprofessional Licensure issued by the Georgia Professional Standards Commission is required. There are two ways to obtain this license:
Have 60 or more credit hours of college coursework with the minimum grade of C or better from an accredited/approved university.
Take and pass the GACE Paraprofessional Assessment.
4. Is the Ethics Assessment required?
No. However, if you are unable to pass the Paraprofessional Assessment the first time, successfully passing the Ethics Assessment will allow you to begin working as a Para which gives you additional time to study and prepare to retake the Paraprofessional Assessment.
