Types of College Applications
Early Action (EA)- non-binding but allows you to receive a decision in the fall/before their regular response date.
Early Decision (ED)- binding, allows you to receive a decision in the fall/before their regular response date but this is a commitment/ a binding agreement. If accepted you are obligated to enroll.
Restrictive Early Action (REA)- non-binding but allows you to receive a decision in the fall/before the regular response date but you may be restricted from participating in ED, EA or REA to other institutions. If accepted you have until May 1 to confirm.
Regular Decision- non-binding, deadlines typically in January, allows opportunity to include 1st semester senior grades
Rolling Admissions- non-binding, your applications will be reviewed as they are submitted, decisions are given throughout the admissions cycle
