HOPE Rigor List

A student meeting the requirements to be a HOPE scholar (HOPE Scholarship) at  the time of high school graduation must earn a minimum of four full credits from the academic rigor course list prior to graduating from high school.

Math Offerings

Algebra II (Advanced Algebra) *required for graduation

Advanced Mathematical Decision Making (AMDM) *4th math option

Pre-Calculus *4th math option

AP Statistics *4th math option

Statistical Reasoning *4th math option

Calculus *4th math option

As a graduation requirement, students will earn 2 credits under Math

English Offerings

AP Language *can replace American Lit/English III 

Science Offerings

AP Biology

AP Environmental Science

Human Anatomy & Physiology *4th science option

Chemistry

Physics

Forensic Science *4th science option

As a graduation requirement, students will earn at least one credit under Science

Social Studies Offerings

AP World History *can replace World History

AP US History *can replace US History

World Language Offerings

French II

French III

Spanish II 

Spanish III

American Sign Language II

As a college bound student (Class of 2026 and 2027) students will earn 1 credit under World Languages

*If you are college bound senior and do not have year I and II of a World Language, please see your counselor ASAP.

As a graduation requirement (Class of 2028 and beyond) students will likely earn 1 credit under World Languages

However, all college bound students regardless of graduation year will have to complete this credit of World Language, meeting the HOPE Rigor Requirement
