Forging future leaders who can be, not seem to be because they are built on a foundation of Respect, Relationships, Responsibility, Reflection and Resilience and have high aspirations. Esse Quam Videri.
Real student leadership provides students with the opportunities to develop their leadership skills and empowers them to make a difference. Our student leaders work with students, staff and governors to shape our school community.
We provide students at all levels with the opportunities to lead and to develop their leadership skills and capacity. Our leadership opportunities supports the development of our character values.

'The school has always been amazing when it comes to empowering the students and making them feel as though they are important and that our opinions really do matter. In the Sixth Form we are encouraged to take up senior leadership roles not just because it allows us to make a difference and have a say in what happens in our school but also because it allows us to develop the transferable skills that we can utilise later on in our lives. We have the opportunity to shape the school narrative to support the well-being and diversity of our students, which is the fabric of this school as we continue to celebrate and embrace all walks of life'.
Just like last year's Senior Student Leadership Team; we are trying to leave behind a legacy in the school and leave a positive mark in the school after we leave! This year we aim to bring in student mentoring for all year groups to support younger students with progress, pastoral care and mental health issues. We have already started by running training sessions for Year 13 students so that we can be prepared to work with our mentees. To further drive the school’s inclusivity, we plan to implement a moment for the school to support World Autism Awareness Day in April, whereas as a community we support and increase awareness.
As part of all of the above we will also continue to work with staff to evolve the PACE curriculum including areas covering diversity and advocating no gender barriers or stereotyping particularly in aspects of school life that both boys and girls can be active participants in. Additionally, we will support the PACE leadership on e-safety and educating the younger students, with a relatable narrative. We also lead our School Council where all students in Year 7-13 can share their voice and issues that they would like the school to deal with.'

Our School Council is lead by our Head Students. They work with the Senior Student Leadership Team and student representatives from each year group. The School Council meet at least once every Half Term to discuss important topics and listen to the student voice from each year group.
The Head Students take the key points from each meeting to the Senior Leadership Team and we work together on changes and suggestions on school improvement.
