One of the important fundamentals in science is constructing a claim through evidence and connecting them with scientific reasoning. This process is what we call claim, evidence and reasoning or CER.

The Sticky Flask lab is a great introduction to CER. Students will gather evidence, create a claim based off of their evidence, test their claims and justify their claims with scientific reasoning.
