Science lesson plans WILL change (that's teaching!). If your student is absent, be sure to have him/her check my lesson plans daily for any changes or updates.
This is a great way for students to view any work they might miss while they are gone and create a plan to get this work turned in either before or after their absence.

If your student is participating in online learning or on-campus learning, fear not! Google Classroom is a free and user friendly online forum that students use throughout the science year.
I will be posting resources, announcements, labs, activities, assignments by week date. Students will be able to go in and view weekly assignments, work at their own pace. collaborate with their peers, and receive one-on-one guidance from me!

Phet Simulator provides fun, free, interactive, research-based science and mathematics simulations.
The simulations are written in Java, Flash or HTML5, and can be run online or downloaded to your computer.

Glencoe Virtual Labs are free, interactive, research-based science simulations. These virtual labs cover concepts in Life, Earth and Physical sciences.
Mystery Science is an online science curriculum that offers students hands on labs and activities.
Students may work on a Mystery Science lab that relates to a specific NGSS science standard, science topic in the news, or a specific science unit that is being taught in the classroom.

Flipgrid is a free video discussion platform that helps educators see and hear from every student in class.
Flipgrid fosters a fun and supportive social learning environment.
Educators post a prompt or assignment and students respond with short videos, whether they are learning in class or at home.
The Merge Explorer is a free app that can be used on an electronic device.
This application provides learning activities and labs that students can explore using their 3D augmented reality merge cube. These cubes will be provided to students during the school year to deepen their understanding of the nature of science.

Padlet is a free online tool where students can post questions, fun facts, or a hilarious science joke!
Padlet will be used as our 'Parking Lot' for student questions. Students are welcome to ask questions about anything they are wondering about that is related to science!
