Mindfulness stems from being aware of how we mentally construct our day. It takes a more conscious approach to our inner monologue, stressors and triggers, and the importance of clearing our minds.
Occasionally, struggles come the fact that we are unaware that we have fallen into a fixed or negative mindset or we are surrounded by stressors and it feels like there is no escape. Mindfulness works to understand our thoughts, feelings, and practice mental change to help confront and overcome negative patterns we fall into.
This video covers growth mindsets, but an important thing to remember is that a growth mindset comes from being able to try something new. Growth mindsets can simply be asking for help in a situation where asking for help makes you anxious. Fixed mindsets are easy because it builds on itself. When we decide that an outcome is inevitable we are isolating ourselves from other solutions that we haven't tried. It can be hard to change our thinking by ourselves, but asking for help can help to show us the other options that we have closed ourselves off from.
