In addition to following the HEB ISD Student Code of Conduct, students and parents/guardians are expected to follow HEB Online Learning Expectations to support a safe and successful online learning experience. Updated September 2020
Honor each student’s right to privacy in accordance with HEB ISD Board Policy FL (Legal & Local). Do not photograph, video or audio record, or screen capture any part of the remote instruction.
Respect class instructional time. It is not appropriate to interact with your student’s teacher while class is in session. Please contact the teacher via email or telephone.
Supervise your student in the curriculum and expectations of the Online Learning, while providing internet safety oversight for your student.
Ensure your student has access to high speed internet and a device.
Follow and support the daily schedule to ensure your student meets all daily class expectations and attends all scheduled classes, including individual/small group lessons and mandatory tutoring.
Monitor your student’s pace, progress, and quality of work daily.
Create a designated area for your student to learn that is quiet, private, and free from distraction.

Log in to Canvas daily.
Create and follow a daily work schedule.
Participate and engage in all scheduled classes, including individual/small group lessons and mandatory tutoring.
Keep the computer webcam turned on so you are visible to the teacher.
Contact teachers for help.
Stay on pace and meet all daily expectations.
