Google Slides 'follow' feature
Google Slides 'follow' feature
Have you ever been working with someone on Google Slides and asked, "Which slide are you on?" Well, Google Slides has added a FOLLOW option. You can click on a collaborator (their little circle icon at the top of your screen) and select Follow. As they move through slides, you’ll follow right along with them! (I'm thinking PD presentations, right?!) Always stay on the right slide!
Google has framed this as a collaboration feature, but this could be helpful to teachers! If you’ve ever used Pear Deck or Nearpod, you know how nice it is to be able to guide your students through a slideshow with you. You move to to a specific slide and they move to the same slide. With this feature, you could mimic that same experience. If all of your students click on your icon and then follow you, they’ll advance through the slides with you! Let me know if you try it out!
