Changing Auto Lock Settings
To keep the iPad connected for longer periods change the auto lock settings to ‘never’ (🔗) and be sure to follow these charging guidelines after:
Put to sleep nightly (pressing the top right power button)
Charge nightly
Turn completely off on Fridays (press and hold top right power button, then swipe to power off)

1. On the IFP home screen, select the Screen Share app. It will pull up a blue box with a code
2. On your iPad open the Samsung Screen Share app
3. Enter the code that you see on the screen
4. On the next screen choose ‘Start’ from the top blue bar
5. When the screen goes fuzzy and gives you the grey box in the center, hit ‘Start Broadcast’
6. Go to your IFP and hit “Accept” on the pop up that appears
a. IF the pop up does NOT appear, click “Devices” on the bottom left corner of the blue code screen
b. Then click the share icon on the far left of the list of options
7. On your iPad, tap anywhere it is blurry, then swipe up from the bottom of the screen share app to get to your home screen
8. Touch controls on the IFP WILL NOT WORK when casting from your iPad

Playing YouTube videos while casting to a device
🚫 Videos DO NOT work using the YouTube app while casting to another screen or device. AVOID INSTALLING THE YOUTUBE APP ON YOUR IPAD. If the app is installed, when opening YouTube links in other applications, it will automatically send you out and open in the Youtube app. That is something you want to avoid IF you desire to show it while connected to your bigger screen.

When videos are embedded into canvas pages or assignments, they'll play inside the canvas teacher app

Open one of the apps you want to use >> Tap the three gray dots in the top center >> Split view >> it will move to the side to reveal your home screen >> then select the second app and it will open in the blank space.
How to change the split ratio…
Find the vertical gray bar in the center >> press and hold >> drag left or right to change the split ratio. It can be 30/70, 50/50, or 70/30.

Tap the three gray dots in the top center of either side of the screen >> Split View >> Left split or Right split (depending on preference)
