We hope all of our band families and students have a restful, relaxing break! We are so thankful for our band students and community! We hope over break you will encourage your student to play for family and friends as you visit for the holidays, they all have holiday tunes they can play! With any extra downtime they may have we would encourage them to either get caught up on band assignments or get ahead! Whatever they do, pick up the instrument a few times over break to keep their faces and music in shape for upcoming performances! Have a Happy Thanksgiving!

This week Concert Band worked to improve our hardest technical song, Haunted Sleigh Ride and made huge strides!! With lots of chromatic and accidental notes, tricky rhythms, and interconnecting parts it is our most challenging song! Students should have passed off one cut of this piece by now and can work ahead to complete the 2nd as well. All students who have ALL 4 winter concert pieces submitted by the time we return from break will receive a reward as well as their 110 in the gradebook for early completion! Remember that only 2 pieces are on Smart Music while Winter Wonderland is submitted through Canvas.
Questions to ask your band student:
Are you going to get all 4 cuts done before break is over?
Upcoming Dates:
Monday, December 9th - Fundraiser Reward Movie Night - Movie Tavern Bedford - 6:30-9:00pm

This is a fantastic showing from our school and a direct reflection of the students commitment and hardwork on their instrument!
