Mrs. Davis is thrilled to be starting her 10th year as Assistant Band Director at Bedford JH and 4th year with the BJH Jazz Band! She is a 2014 Cum Laude graduate from Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches, Texas. While earning her Music Education degree Mrs. Davis was active in multiple concert bands, Lumberjack Marching Band for 3 years, and clarinet choir.
At Bedford JH Mrs. Davis has written and received two HEB Education Foundation Grants benefitting the BJH Band. In 2018 she was awarded a grant in the amount of $2038 for band hall technology and in 2021 she was awarded a grant in the amount of $4872 for the creation of Bedford JH's first ever jazz band. Since the Jazz Band's inception they have been consecutive Sweepstakes recipients at the Tarrant County College Music Festival as well as two time Band of the Day. As BJH's Concert Band director, Mrs. Davis has been proud to earn both Superior and Excellent ratings at UIL and festival performances. Getting to grow and learn with young non-varsity students is a truly rewarding experience that keeps her on her toes everyday!
Mrs. Davis is a member of Pi Kappa Lambda National Music Honor Society and is currently a member of TMEA. Mrs. Davis did her student teaching in HEB ISD and has loved being back in HEB ISD after serving two years as an assistant band director in Arlington ISD at Hutcheson and Ousley Junior Highs. In her free time Mrs. Davis enjoys gardening, decorating, reading fantasy books, crafting, and spending time with her family, husband, and their 4 pets - Dwight, Chuck, Poe, and Yoshi!
