Thank you parents for coming out to Open House this week! We hope you found last week's Newletter helpful! Many of our action items are the same this week, so if you have completed them you are good to go! Use the quicklinks below to jump to the section for your student!

Pay Band Fees by September 6th by cash, check (to Bedford JH Band) or through School Cash Online.
Beginner Band
Beginner Band
Beginners worked hard this week to complete their Pre-Instrument Checklist which allows them to bring their instrument home this weekend! Students should not be putting their their full instruments yet as we have not gotten that far! We hope you hear your students making their fantastic beginning sounds this weekend.
Questions to ask your beginner:
What are the names for the parts of your instrument?
How do you assemble/play your mouthpiece or head joint?
Can you make a sound?

Date change: Beginner Band Concert has moved from October 16th to October 15th. Please mark your calendars!

Concert Band
This week Concert Band rehearsed 4 of our pep tunes and will have a chair test on Monday over Crunch Time! We will continue to add new pep tunes next week and begin pass offs for them on Canvas. Look for their new pass off sheet on Monday! Drumline will continue to meet on Wednesday mornings at 7:45 for drumline rehearsal.
Questions to ask your band student:
What measures does your chair test cover?
How many days per week are you planning to bring home your instrument?
How many minutes do you need to practice to be ready for rehearsal?

8/23/24 - Supply Check zeroes go in the gradebook. Students can still complete next week for partial credit.

Symphonic Band
Symphonic Band
This week Symphonic Band began their Honor Band sectionals. Students received their HEB Honor Band pass-off sheet and scale assignment - this includes all playing assignments through October 21st.
Questions to ask your band student:
What is your playing assignment for next week? Hint: it is the material that we covered in sectionals this week!
How many days per week are you planning to bring home your instrument?
How many minutes do you need to practice to be ready for rehearsal?
