1.  Watch our 24-25 Informational video!

2. Complete the 24-25 Band Google Forms Due Monday August 19th

3. Pay Band Fees by September 6th by cash, check (to Bedford JH Band) or through School Cash Online.

4. Students in all bands should have their supplies by Monday August 19th. Please reach out to a band director if you have any issues or need help getting supplies!

5. Join Remind for your student's class!

Beginner Band

This week beginners learned about band posture, beat, tapping our toes, the musical alphabet, and the instruments of the band! We are learning quickly and excited to get to instruments soon. 

Questions to ask your beginner:

• What are the two band positions?

• What letters are in the musical alphabet?

• What instrument family is your instrument in?

Concert & Symphonic Band

This week Concert and Symphonic Band worked very hard to improve and reinforce posture, toe taping, and playing position. We are working on our Concert Bb scale and pep tunes.

Questions to ask your band student:

• What pep tunes did you rehearse in class this week?

• How many days per week are you planning to bring home your instrument?

• How many minutes do you need to practice to be ready for rehearsal?

Upcoming Dates:

• 8/19/24 - Supply Check continued

• 8/19/24 - Symphonic Band sectional schedule begins, ALL drumline, concert and symphonic band, will meet each Wednesday at 7:45 for drumline rehearsal.

• 8/21/24 - Symphonic Band and all Drumline perform at BJH Open House

• 8/30/24 - Students need flip folders and lyres in class. Please see links to order here!
