During our LP meetings, we will review your child's full body of work completed during that LP to discuss skills and topics being taught in each enrolled course. Each LP one work sample (TK-8th grade) will be submitted to your HST. High School students will submit one work sample for every class they are enrolled in each LP. Please review the work sample policies below.
Content of the work sample should reflect grade-level standards
Sample must come from a non-sectarian curriculum
Sample must be hand-written by the student (typed essays are acceptable if grade-level appropriate; digitally produced samples are appropriate if the student is enrolled in an online curriculum)
Picture samples must be accompanied by the student’s handwritten work as grade-level appropriate.
Questions and answers should both be present on the sample
Work samples for all grades TK-12 need to have the correct labeling, and need to include:
Student’s first and last name written by the student, unless the student is in TK or K and cannot yet write.
The date the work sample was created must be within the LP and NOT be on a weekend or holiday.
The subject/class name must be written in the heading.
A parent grade must be given. For TK-3 grade you may use a smiley face or sticker for the grade, but all other grade levels must have a letter grade or a percentage.
Please try to keep the heading in the upper right hand portion of the work sample. Student information should be handwritten unless the sample was digitally created or is from an online curriculum. All headings for online curriculum must come from that online platform and may not be added at a later time.

HOW TO PULL WORK SAMPLES FROM ONLINE PLATFORMS:
If your student uses an online platform, click the links below for instructions on how to PULL WORK SAMPLES to submit:
Please ask students/families to provide all samples to you directly. If you are unable to get a sample from a student, please utilize the below directions for each platform listed.
Notes and summaries will also work as a sample.
Edgenuity Direct (with Edgenuity-hired instructors)
Edmentum Courseware (grades 6-8 with no instructor)
Edmentum EdOptions - unit assignments submitted outside of course
iLead Online iLead Online - Please share this video that explains how students use their drive to complete and submit work:
The video walks students through how to organize, create, and share a google folder including all iLEAD Online coursework with their HST.
**Tip: All platforms online can also be sent to HST by creating a screenshot and pasting that into a google or word doc, if first login page with student name, date, subject, and score are included in one of the screenshots.
