The Great Story: Imagine this – since the 1800s, electricity has been like a magical spark that lights up our homes, makes our gadgets go zoom, and even brings our phones to life! It's like the secret sauce behind all the cool stuff we have today. But here's the cool part: to understand how electricity works, you need to know about magnets. Yup, those things that stick to your fridge! Electricity and magnets are like best friends, and they make the world of today tick. It's like a fantastic dance between them that powers everything around us!
Hands-on Circuit Exploration! Students dive into the fascinating world of circuits, uncovering their types and building a handy circuit in this electrifying learning adventure.
Exploring Magnetic Fields! 💫 Students delving into the enchanting world of magnetism, unraveling the mysteries of magnetic lines of force both inside and outside the magnet. Discovering the magnetic field's strength disparities between the poles and other regions of the magnet. 📍 Uncovering the spots where magnetic lines are strongest!
Exploring the Electromagnetic Universe! Students dive into the fascinating world of electromagnets, collaborating and showcasing impressive ATL (Approaches to Learning) skills. Through hands-on experimentation and incredible problem-solving skills, they engineer electromagnets, illuminating the path to discovery.

7. Islamiyat Connection
The Action Cycle (Reflect - Choose - Act) is an integral part of the IB PYP Curriculum Framework.
The life of Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him, and the wisdom of the Quran both provide ample opportunities for students to reflect on their actions, make better choices in light of Islamic teachings, and take action to address issues they witness at school, at home, and in the world at large. Action in the IB PYP is an invitation for students to look within themselves at their own hearts, as well as to consider the society around them.

The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said:
الْبِرُّ حُسْنُ الْخُلُقِ وَالإِثْمُ مَا حَاكَ فِي صَدْرِكَ وَكَرِهْتَ أَنْ يَطَّلِعَ عَلَيْهِ النَّاسُ
Righteousness is good character and sin is what waivers in your heart and you hate for people to find out about it.

Quran
A change of direction
In Chapter 2: Surah Baqarah, Verse 144, the Holy Quran describes why the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) was commanded to change the Qiblah.
Understand the verse here.
“Verily, We have seen the turning of your (Muhammed’s) face towards the Heaven. Surely, We shall turn you to a Qiblah (prayer direction) that shall please you, so turn your face in the direction of Al-Masjid Al-Haram (at Makkah). And wherever you people are, turn your faces (in prayer) in that direction.” [2:144]
The Prophet's Life (pbuh)
A qiblah for the Muslims
At first, Muslims used to face Jerusalem when saying their namaaz. Even after migrating to Medina, the Prophet (pbuh) continued to lead the prayers while facing Jerusalem.
One day, a revelation commanded the Prophet to begin facing the Ka'aba in Mecca. Explore the history + importance of our Qiblah here.
Muslim Civilisation
Maps, Magnets and Muslims
Muslim scientists used their knowledge of Earth's magnetic field to create compasses. These were used by sailors for navigation on voyages. People also used them to find the direction of the Ka'aba.
Take a virtual trip to The British Museum to learn more about this beautifully preserved Egyptian compass from 1582.
Personal Reflection
Finding your way in the world
The Quran talks about the two conspicuous ways. The straight and uphill path requires sacrifice.
