HCPSS Pride WEEK 2022

Monday, June 6

Join us for a Rainbow Vision Reception at Busboys and Poets in Columbia. We are inviting students who were published in Rainbow Vision as well as others to join us in celebrating the release of our 3rd volume of our literary magazine. Event sponsored by CARY. Food and refreshments are available for purchase during the event from off the Busboys and Poets menu. Registration is required for this event.

Tuesday, June 7

Join us virtually at 6:00pm to meet JR and Vanessa Ford, authors of Calvin for our FAMILY Read the Rainbow! This club is for anyone and the first 50 families with PreK-5th grade students will receive a free copy of the book through our partnership with CARY and donations from The Noble Team. Books will be mailed on Tuesday, May 3rd.

Stop in at Shake Shack at The Mall in Columbia from 12:00pm - 8:00pm today and show the attached flyer at the register or use the code GIVEBACK when ordering online. A portion of the proceeds made today will help fund future Read the Rainbow Bookclubs and will provide free books for our students!

WednesDay, June 8

Family Hikes with Howard County Conservancy! Come join us on a 45-60 minute hike on moderate terrain. Pack a snack or dinner and eat outside under the pavilion after your hike! Each hike can accommodate 20 individuals, so be sure to register early!

Thursday, June 9

Join us at Main Event for a FUNdraiser for our 2023 HCPSS Rainbow Conference! From 6:00 - 9:00pm 20% of all sales will be donated to HCPSS Pride! Please bring your receipt to the HCPSS Pride table at the end of the month to make sure your purchases are counted. Download the flyers and share with your family and friends to help us spread the word!

Saturday, June 11

Middle school and high school students as well as adult volunteers are invited to join us at Centennial Park from 9:00am-12:00pm for a community clean-up! Middle and high school students can earn service hours for their time and efforts.
