Our Bridges After-School Green Team Environmental Education Enrichment class (gr. 3-5) conducted a clean air survey of our school. Our findings were told to the building supervisor of what they learn and found from the survey.

Our students and staff listened to the guest marathon speaker, Dave Berdan (winner of the Baltimore City Marathon many times) to kickoff Marathon Kids. Marathon Kids is a program which encourages young people to run by supplying mileage charts, lesson ideas, a website with lots of resources, nutrition resources, and incentives to running clubs/schools that join. Their goal is to complete 1 - 4 Marathons in a school year. Our students use this fitness program to stay active with walking / running during recess warmup. They do recess warm up for 10 min. everyday.

Our students (460 est in pre k - 5th grade )participated in Hear Maryland Crunch Day. It is a day to promote a healthy school by eating an apple across the state of Maryland all at the same time.

Our Green Team tech students (10 students in gr. 3-5) made hand washing signs to go with the Mr. Clean Hand Washing Club. These signs were put up in all the bathroom and sinks throughout the school.

Our students and staff use the environmental cleaner Q128 to wash their desks after eating breakfast or anytime that it is needed.

For our spring ROAR celebration, our 2nd graders (25) chose aerobics for their incentive of having great ROAR behavior and academics in school. They had a 20 min. aerobic class with Mrs. Maynard (2nd grade teacher) on the field next to the basketball court.
Our Bridges Academic 3rd grade students (12 students) had Crazy Math every Thursday during the Fall session. They did 6 exercises for this game using a stop watch to time there reps.

All our students (450 est.) walk or run for 10 minutes around the field before recess. They have been doing this since 2014 with Marathon Kids. Staff is also welcome to walk and run with the students.
