The Bus Driver Breakfast was hosted by Connie Stahler(Vice Principal) and The Green Team. The Green Team students (gr. 3-5) talked to our bus drivers on how important it is not to idle. The bus drivers were given a pledge to sign for an Idle reduction pledge from the EPA.

The Bridges After- School Green Team technology class made signs for no - bus/car idling. The signs were hard laminated and hung outside on sign posts to remind bus drivers and the public of the no -idling zone at our school.
Our student green team survey takers (5th and 2nd grade) took data in the morning and afternoon using a stop watch on how many minutes they were idling. The bus drivers were awarded certificates on how well they did.

Our Bridges After-School Green Team Environmental Education Enrichment class (gr. 3-5) conducted a clean air survey of our school. Our findings were told to the building supervisor of what they learn and found from the survey.

The students wrote what they saw for living and non-living things. They used magnifying glasses as well to see and investigate what they had found.
Students made posters, poems, decorated doors, used technology instead of paper, used whiteboards for math, picked up trash and water plants during Earth Week. This week was used to help the Earth and to express their thoughts for Earth Day. Grades were 1st, 2nd, 3rd,4th, and 5th grade.

Our Bridges Cheerleaders created a special cheer for the Green Team to support EarthWeek.
During Earth Week, students celebrated by making crafts ,expressing themselves with posters, and having a guest speaker.
This 1st grade class made and Earth and made hands to show protecting the Earth. They wrote about how to protect the Earth for Earth Day.

Mr. Jonathan Davis (Principal of GES) was the guest speaker for 1st grade. He read a story and acted the part of Michael Recycles. He also talked about the importance of conserving energy and water.
