* Measuring of Native Garden - June 2014

Our future native garden was measured by our students and a staff member (2 students in 3rd grade) to get permission to plant a native garden for the future Monarch Butterfly habitat.

* Removable Whiteboard Addition to Outdoor Learning Center - May 2015

A whiteboard was donated to the outdoor learning center. It was installed by the grounds crew as a removable whiteboard to aid in teaching students outside in the outdoor learning center.

This is the new whiteboard. Installed by the grounds crew. Teachers are able to check out the whiteboard from the media center to use.

These are some 2nd grade math students (10) using the whiteboard for the very first time.

* Measuring Space for Future Planting - May 2015

Our Bridges Green Team students (15 students in gr. 3-5) measured the front of the schools landscaped beds to plant future native plants in front of the school with the Master Gardeners.

* Use of Outdoor Learning Center - April - March 2016 and Oct. 2017

2nd grade is having a math class using probability of how many times they can get a ping pong in a cup.

*Planting a Vegetable Garden - April - June 2016

Our Kindergarten students in 2 classes (30 students )planted a vegetable garden in above ground planter bins in the learning center. This vegetable garden helped them to better understand their garden unit by watching the plants grow. They planted beans and peas.

* Installing Monarch Habitat - Do Not Mow Sign- Feb. 27, 2018

Three students in 5th grade helped to install our Milkweed Monarch Habitat - Do Not Mow sign. This sign will let anyone that approaches it to be aware what is growing and living there. It is also helpful for the mowers to not mow it after the wooden post are gone from marking the area.
