It is the professional practice that provides support, assistance and guidance to beginning/new teachers to promote their personal well being, professional growth and success.

Who Mentors?

Decided by respective Principal Consultants according to subject.

Why Mentoring?

To make your early days in HCI less traumatic.

To provide support in as many areas of life in HCI as possible.

What does it entail?

Mentors

  • provide assistance for the first few weeks of teaching.
  • arrange for you to observe their lessons or visit different teachers’ classes.
  • observe your teaching and provide non-threatening feedback.
  • discuss professional and personal development
  • help clarify your doubts
  • support you socially and emotionally
  • induct you into HCI’s proud traditions and values

To help kick-start the relationship between mentors and mentees, each mentee is entitled to a $30 feast with their mentor(s). (Conditions apply)

How long does it last?

Officially a year.
