TN Tech's Army ROTC (Military Science) Program is your flight plan for tomorrow's success! TN Tech Army ROTC is an elective (minor) program for undergraduate and graduate students providing unrivaled leadership training for success in any career field. No matter what educational path you take, the transferable skills gained from your Army ROTC experience and ultimately as an officer (leader) in the Army will set you apart from your college peers and in your career outside of the military ROTC.
There are scholars who aspire to achieve even more than a college degree - they aspire to be a leader. In Tennessee Tech University’s ROTC program, students will get the chance to mold their leadership skills, challenge themselves physically and mentally, and build strong relationships with fellow cadets, students, and the ROTC cadre. Our staff and faculty are strongly committed to help each cadet receive individualized career counseling, mentoring and coaching. Whether in the Army or civilian sector, employers that receive ROTC graduates are delighted with their leadership ability, demonstrations of values, adaptability, and intellectual foundation.
Whether you’re a college-bound high school student, already attending a college or university, or are currently enlisted, Army ROTC has scholarships available. Scholarships are awarded based on a student’s merit and grades, not financial need. Additionally, employers actively seek military leaders for leadership roles in their companies for both their finely tuned leadership skills and their job specific training from the Army.
Army ROTC offers four, three, and two-year scholarships that provide the following benefits:
Full tuition (or room and board option)
$1,200 for books ($600 per semester)
$420 monthly stipend
Additional incentives for those who qualify– monthly language stipend ($100 – 250), a study abroad program ($6,000), special incentives for nurses, and post graduate programs for medical and law degrees
