Retro Gaming Console

<<Gaming Console>>

<<In Spring 2018, we wanted to create an arcade machine out of old school computers to sell. We used readily available computer parts from the school’s technology room, and plywood. The shell of the barcade was cut out using the Shop Bot and assembled using a pneumatic nail gun. Windows was wiped from the old hard drives and a version of Linux, Lakka. Lakka Linux is a light running OS that is designed to run ROMs for old arcade and console games. The outside of the box will be decorated with vinyl stickers. The Barcade’s official name is “ZUSE.” Once assembled they will be decorated with their respective games/consoles graphics. Then they will be sold to willing customers.>>

<<In Spring of 2018, we decided that we should create a fun, handmade way to play your favorite games with the click of a button, so that’s why we decided to create the Zuse Retro Gaming machine. The Zuse combines technology and woodcutting to create an arcade machine. This arcade machine will have a wooden base, with vinyl accents and designs that give it its own uniqueness. The wood was cut using the ShopBot whilst the computer parts themselves are salvaged from school computers too old to be updated! We used the pneumatic nail gun to keep the wood together and have drilled holes into the wood to create ventilation shafts for the fans. We hope our creations can help further impact our community in a positive way!>>
