Hello Year 3s and 4s!
Year 3
Watch the clip provided about materials and their properties.
Explore your home and find a range of different everyday objects and investigate the materials they are made of. Challenge yourself to find 10 or more. Here's some suggestions:
Rainboots, favourite toy, water bottle, pen, teddy bear, t-shirt, football, plate, cutlery, torch, rubber band, school bag etc...
Print off the template provided and tell me about some of these objects, what they are made of and why you think the object is made of this material. You can draw a picture of the object too, or take a photo and include it on the template.
You might like to quiz your Mum and Dad or brothers and sisters on what they think different objects are made of!
You can ask Mum or Dad to take photos of your work and email them through to me at sluke@hccs.sa.edu.au or bring it in when you return to school. Have fun!
