See if you can make some different mixtures or solutions at home. Check with your Mum or Dad first though! You might need their help for some of them.
Here are some ideas:
Mix two of your favourite cereals together to eat for breakfast (E.g. Nutri-Grain and Rice Bubbles).
Make a fruit salad with some of your favourite fruits.
Mix and stir up a nice warm cup of milo, or make a smoothie or milkshake.
For a snack, mix two or three of your favourite snack foods together in a bowl. Remember to only mix a small amount of each (E.g. Popcorn, pretzels, sultanas, dried cranberries, nuts (if you are not allergic), chocolate buds).
Help make dinner and try and work out if you are eating a mixture or a solution for tea! (E.g. Spaghetti Bolognaise, Pumpkin Soup, Fried rice).
Print out the Mixing Materials template provided and cut, sort and paste the materials in the missing spaces. Remember to add your own mixture or solution!
