My name is Miss Fraser, and my favourite subject is music! As well as being an educator I am a professional musician, and have travelled to many countries around the world giving workshops and concerts in my speciality field of Scottish fiddle music.

Did you know that a fiddle is the same as a violin? It's just like a nickname for a violin - the instrument itself is exactly the same.

Welcome activity

Draw a picture of yourself playing an instrument that you would love to learn one day. Or maybe even one that you are already learning!

Let's play with some rhythms!

You may remember learning about ta and ti-ti in Music last year. This week we are going to revise these time names.

Find something in your house you can use as a drum. Maybe you could use an empty box, or a mixing bowl and a wooden spoon.
Click on the youtube link and get ready to play along to the different patterns using ta and ti-ti.
On a piece of paper, see if you can write down at least 3 different 4 beat patterns using ta and ti-ti, and then try playing them on your drum.
