REQUIRED SUPPLIES
Percussion is different from the other band instruments. Students will be performing on quite a bit of school owned equipment. This includes mallet instruments (bells, xylophone, marimba, vibraphone, chimes), Drums (snare drum, bass drum, toms, timpani), and Auxillary instruments (triangle, bells, suspended cymbal, crash cymbals, tambourine, and many more). Students will use a percussion kit that includes a set of bells and a drum pad. In addition, students need a stick bag that includes snare sticks, timpani mallets, yarn mallets, and hard rubber mallets.
Due to the use of many school owned instruments and the use of a percussion instructor, percussionists are required to pay a fee per year to help offset the costs. More information is located on your placement letter.
