The Edison Innovation Lab is an educational aquarium facility that fosters innovative leaders that strive to make headway in conservation efforts in extremely diverse manners. We focus on conservation, preservation, and restoration of species that are threatened by anthropogenic activity. This is done by culturing those species within our facility, and either releasing them back to the wild, or creating/ participating in an aquaculture market for them; to preserve the species in the wild from being taken from their habitat to be sold.
Our FFA Chapter focuses on sustainability within agriculture, which is led by a leadership team of students with passion for agriculture, community outreach and involvement, and diverse innovative ideas in terms of sustainability. They independently manage and maintain all aquaponics systems within the Innovation Lab, and take fish and produce to EHS Culinary, as well as the community.
