ABOUT OUR COUNSELORS

Hi everyone! My name is Sabrina Okuda, and I am the School Counselor at Hermosa View, supporting our TK–1st grade students. I am passionate about helping students grow into the best version of themselves. I believe that learning and emotions go hand in hand, and I strive to support both so that students feel confident, connected, and safe at school. In my free time, I enjoy reading, cooking, and all things health and wellness. I recently relocated from San Diego, and I’m excited to now call the South Bay home. I look forward to building a new community here at Hermosa View!

Hello! My name is Troi Boucher, and this is my third year working at the Best Little Beach School as the Hermosa View & Vista School Counselor. I have my Master of Education in School Counseling and a Pupil Personnel Service credential from the University of Southern California (Fight On!). I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Sociology at California State University, Dominguez Hills. I’m a born and raised Southern Californian, and very proud of it. Some of my hobbies include crocheting, cooking, scouring the city for the best carne asada tacos, and traveling the world with my husband. I’m passionate about counseling because of the impact that educators had on my life growing up, and I love having the opportunity to be able to pay it forward to future generations every day.

My name is Cassy Ryley, and I am the Hermosa Valley School Counselor, supporting 5th through 8th grade students. I have been lucky enough to work at Hermosa Valley School since 2021, and I am excited to have the opportunity to use my experience in working in schools across the South Bay to continue to enrich our school counseling program. The best thing about my job is being with kids and making connections with our students. I am originally from London, England, but I have lived locally for many years and can think of no place better than the South Bay to raise my family. I am passionate about education and wellness and dedicated to lifelong learning. I am looking forward to a fun and fulfilling year ahead!
