Meet The Spring Coaches

Hello, Dolphin fans! My name is Nancy Reynolds, and I am thrilled to be a coach for the boy's volleyball team. With decades of experience coaching youth, collegiate, and professional athletes, I bring a wealth of knowledge and passion to this role. I'm so excited about this new venture. I love all things “Hermosa”!!

I've played beach volleyball at the highest level and still enjoy playing with friends at least once a week. Beyond the court, I love the beach, travel, friends, and my family.

Hi, my name is Michael Lees. After playing volleyball as a scholarship athlete at Cal State Northridge, I coached elite-level boy's club volleyball for twelve years, first with the Los Angeles Athletic Club and then as a founding member of the coaching staff at the Southern California Volleyball Club (SCVC). During those years, my teams won five medals at Junior Nationals, including one national championship. I've also spent six years coaching both the Girls and Boys volleyball programs at Corpus Christi Grammar School in Pacific Palisades, winning two CYO Championships with the boys teams. My coaching philosophy for the junior high age group is to drive home proper technique for the fundamental skills through heavy repetition and to introduce more advanced skills to prepare the boys to play at the high school level.

Hi, my name is Nat Hazard. This is my 2nd year coaching cross country and track for HVS. I am an outdoor enthusiast, and running is a huge passion of mine. I have run several half marathons, 10k and 5k races, but my latest endeavor is the ultramarathon. I love to race long distances, on the trail, all over California. I also cycle, play the drums, and play the guitar. I love to paddleboard, play pickleball, and backpack in the mountains. I am excited to take HVS cross country and track to the next level!

Hi, my name is Danika Brown. I was a multi-sport athlete in HS. I ran cross country, track, and played soccer. I was named to the UT-San Diego All-Academic Team. I went on to play soccer at PLNU for 2 seasons and then transferred to SDSU where I played club for 2 seasons. Since graduating, I have ran 4 marathons including the LA marathon and 8 half marathons. Also, I just got a new dog. Her name is Bailey, a German shepherd mix puppy rescue! I am excited to partner with HVS cross country.
