The Hermosa View, Vista, & Valley Parent Teacher Organization (HVPTO) is a 501 (c)(3) charitable non-profit organization established to support and promote academic excellence in our Hermosa schools. All Hermosa View, Vista, and Valley parents, guardians, and teachers are automatically members. The purpose of the HVPTO is to enhance and enrich the educational experience of Hermosa View, Hermosa Vista, and Hermosa Valley students by encouraging parent and teacher participation and developing a closer connection with the community.
With the monies raised from fundraisers like the Dolphin Dash Jog-A-Thon and Halloween Carnival, to name a few, and with donations and the generous gifts of time and talent from their volunteers, the HVPTO is able to support our Preschool-8 Grade students and staff with supplies, equipment, and special programs. The HVPTO works closely with the teachers and administration to determine where the funds will be distributed. In the 2023-2024 school year, the HVPTO raised $240,000...a NEW fundraising RECORD for the HVPTO! The money raised will be used for classroom supplies, field trips, school assemblies, library books, staff appreciation, and much more!

ncorporated in 1992 as a 501(c)(3), the Hermosa Beach Education Foundation (HBEF) is a fundraising organization for Hermosa Beach public schools. Operated 100% by volunteers, our focus is to meet the school district’s educational needs by funding instructional programs and student services that are not completely supported by state or federal funding. HBEF contributes over $1 million or approximately 10% of the school district budget every year to provide STEAM, foreign language, librarians, and music for middle and elementary grades, as well as a diverse selection of middle school electives for grades 6-8. In addition to educational programs, HBEF also provides much-needed funding for social and emotional wellness programs for all grade levels with two full-time school counselors.
HBEF is grateful for the support of parents, business leaders, and community members who believe a quality public education complements Hermosa Beach's values. To learn more about HBEF and how you can get involved, please visit hbef.org.
