Purpose
What is articuLIT?
articuLIT is the literary magazine for Hazelwood Central High School. articuLIT was started by two teachers who are passionate about writing, art, and self-expression and who are committed to providing all HCHS students the opportunity to express themselves artistically outside the confines of the classroom. articuLIT's mission is to encourage creative self-expression and provide an accessible format for students to showcase their talents.
What does a literary magazine publish?
Basically, anything, including artwork! Please see Submission Guidelines for examples of genres that are typically included into a lit mag. We would love to feature a wide variety of styles of writing and art. If you enjoy reading, or you came across something very impactful and you want to spread the word, you can also submit a review for the magazine's Lit Review section.
Who can submit to articuLIT?
Any student or staff member may submit work to articuLIT by sharing work through Google or emailing an attachment to: articuLITmag@gmail.com.
Who can be a part of the articuLIT staff?
Any HCHS student! If you enjoy writing, creating art, or just talking about and critiquing work, then articuLIT is the place for you. Please come check out a meeting any time. Staff members play an important role in choosing submissions for publishing, and you can participate in other vital roles as well.
