Transition to School

We are very fortunate to be located on the grounds of Hazel Glen College (our Service provider). This allows us to have an ongoing seamless and invisible transition to school program, which operates all year long. The children are involved in activities in and around the College. This enables them to become very familiar with a school environment and facilities. The program enhances the children’s readiness for school, regardless of which school they will be attending. Some of the activities they are involved in include:

• College assemblies

• Prep assemblies

• Library sessions

• Visiting prep rooms

• Prep teachers spending time in kinder sessions

• Activities with prep children

• Using College facilities eg gym, STEAM centre

• Playing in the prep playground

• Attending special performances
