Welcome to Hazel Glen Kindergarten. Our Kindergarten is located in the Hazel Glen Child and Family Centre which opened in 2015. The Centre is located at 65 Eminence Bvd Doreen in the City of Whittlesea.
We are very proud of our Kindergarten. The facility has four kinder rooms providing modern state of the art facilities for our community. The Kindergarten offers a 3 year old kindergarten program, a 4 year old kindergarten program and an Extended Care program for children enrolled in our Kindergarten.
Our architecturally designed 21st century facility provides a stimulating, safe and exciting environment that supports our programs and addresses the developmental needs of every child. Our flexible indoor and outdoor areas are designed and purpose built to reflect the needs and interest of the children and allows for a curriculum that addresses the many foundations of children’s learning. Our kindergarten is extremely well resourced with a wide variety of educational materials selected to enhance and inspire children’s learning.
At Hazel Glen Kindergarten we strongly believe that each child is unique and that all children have the potential and desire to learn. We believe in the importance of families being their child’s first teacher. We recognise that family relationships are important and crucial in a child’s life. Families understand their child better than anyone else and we appreciate the sharing of information and ideas to enhance children’s learning, and encourage family participation.
We believe that all children, staff and families have the right to be treated with respect in a positive and accepting environment, where the rights of all individuals are acknowledged. We are a community within a community and we welcome you all to it.
