Our four year old kindergarten program consists of 15 hours per weeks across three days. The program builds on our three year old program and continues the learning journey for your child and also welcomes and embraces new children at this stage. Our program will continue to evolve to meet the needs of our children and families.
In each session, the children are involved with the following experiences:
Welcome time at the beginning of the session is an inclusive and welcoming time for children to learn to listen and respect each other as well as sharing news, thoughts and ideas with others. It is also an opportunity for children to learn about each other and themselves in a group setting. Teachers will also share with the children the program for the day.
Group times where teachers share a provocation with the children focusing on the inquiry topic being explored and investigated by the children. This also involves musical experiences (singing, dancing and playing instruments) and listening to stories.
Indoor learning experiences are designed to engage and support the development needs and interests of the children. Each room is divided into the following experience areas:

Book corner
Dramatic play area
Small world area
Art/Craft area
Fine motor area
Outdoor learning experiences involve play and discovery utilising the:
Sand pits
Digging patches
Slides
Swings
Bikes
Construction toys
Sensory gardens
Vegetable gardens
Climbing equipment
Water pump and dry creek
Sporting equipment
Within all of these areas, children are able to inquire, learn, interact, play, explore and discover. The children will be involved in experiences of their choice or with those that are adult led involving intentional teaching.
