Description: Ballyhass Lakes is an outdoor pursuits adventure center. It is located near Cecilstown, Co. Cork. All TY's went to Ballyhass for a day trip on the 23rd September. We left at about 9am. When we arrived, we split into 5 groups of 12 and each group was given a leader from Ballyhass who was in charge of us for the day. My group leader was Oisín. We started off by going down to the aqua park. We were given wetsuits but I bought my own. We then got changed and went into the aquapark. It was a lot of fun. I really enjoyed myself. After that, when we got out and changed, we walked back up to the 'main center' and ate our lunch. After our lunch, my group went crate stacking. It was fun but it wasn't very exciting. Overall I enjoyed my day. We returned to school at 3pm ish.
3 things I liked:
1) Having fun and a laugh with my friends and instructors
2) Being in a group with my friends
3) I bought a twister at the café during my lunch and I loved it!
2 things I learned:
1) I improved my teamwork skills
2) I strengthened my relationships with classmates I generally wouldn't hang out with a lot
1 thing I might change:
1) Do a different activity rather than doing crate stacking. Also I would have preferred to do more activities during the day but overall it was an enjoyable day.
