The 2024 ARES Simulated Emergency Test (SET) simulates a category 4 hurricane, post landfall. When the exercise begins, assume that the hurricane has left the island, leaving debris, destruction, blocked roads, flooding, and power failure. What happens next? How can we assist our Civil Defense, Police, Fire, Road Crews, Power Company and each other develop the situational awareness to mount an effective response?
About the Hawaii ARES® Simulated Emergency Test:
The 2024 SET is a statewide event organized by the Amateur Radio Emergency Service (ARES) Field Service Organization in Hawaii.
Hawaii ARES is established within the ARES® Pacific Division, Pacific Section of the Amateur Radio Relay League.
