Labs, Projects & Faculty

The MRE-C research activities have been planned to maximize the complementary expertise and resources at both UH & UW MEM-C while emphasizing the education and training of a diversified next generation of scientists and engineers. The research is focused on developing foundational knowledge about advanced nano-to-macroscale defect-bearing and doped materials (boron compounds, chalcopyrites, layered quantum materials and proton-irradiated solids) and properties controlling their unique behaviors, and investigating their use for future energy and space technologies.
