If you can, testify in person or virtually
Tips for Submitting Testimony:
prepare what you want to say beforehand: clearly state whether you are testifying in support or in opposition; outline your key talking points
be authentic and thoughtful in your statement: personalize your testimony by sharing how this bill affects you
share your why: why is it important that your voice be heard? why are you supporting/ opposing this bill?
emphasize community: collaborative partnerships with community are crucial to meeting our needs
if you're testifying virtually, be sure you're in a quiet place to minimize background noise and have a strong internet connection to avoid getting cut off
