What materials will you need for your project?

A Makey Makey, cardboard, aluminum foil, and a Chromebook.

What is your plan to create in this project?

We plan to create a controller for pac man

What unique qualities will your project have?

You will be able to play pac man without having your hands on

the keyboard, and it will be a more fun, unique, and non-basic

way to play.

Reflection Questions

• Using a Makey Makey, we created a controller because we wanted a more fun way to play.

• During this process, I learned how to use a Makey Makey and how to use alligator clips.

• The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Knowledge Constructor because we knew nothing about the project before so we had to research and find things that would help us along the way.

• A challenge I overcame on this project was making the controller work correctly. I was able to do it by pressing down on random spots and poking around, then I figured out that you had to hold it down a certain way in order for it to work the way we wanted it to.

• Given a chance to do this again, I would change the size of the controller. The reason why I would change it is because it was a bit tricky to use and I couldn't get to the other controls fast enough.

• Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing. My project connects to the Engineering Design CTE program at Hastings High School. My project connects to careers in Engineering fabrication and careers in game designer.
