Daily log
Day one
I learned about what a micro-bit was and began to work on my slide.
Day two
I then started to program a code that shows my name and put it on the micro-bit.
Day three
I started my next project into making a code for a beating heart and programmed it onto my micro-bit.
Day four
I created a step counter that counts steps by feeling the vibrations.
Day five
I made a dice that chooses a random number 1-6 when it's shaken.
Day six
I uploaded my videos onto google drive and put them on the slide.
Day seven
I did my reflection
Project #1
My name gets shown when I press a button
Project #2
The heart automatically beats
Project #3
I created a step-counter that counts the vibrations and counts them
Project #4
I made a dice that picks a number 1-6 for you
Using a MakeCode programming software, I created 4 different projects for entertainment and to mess around with because I enjoy programming and making things for entertaining people.
During this process, I learned how to program and create codes for a micro-bit.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Creative Communicator because I used the right tools for the job and made some creative things.
A challenge I overcame on this project was creating the codes. I was able to do it by messing around with different buttons, options, and exploring the many things that the programming software provided until I could find and discover new things.
Given a chance to do this again, I would change a few of the simple micro-bit projects. The only reason I would change it is because I could have the opportunity to make something unique, entertaining, and overall better and learn how to make it.
