Planning Questions
Are you working by yourself or in a team?
I am working by myself
What materials will you need for your project?
I will need a 3D printer, a computer, and the website, TinkerCad.
What is your plan to create in this project?
I plan to create a fidget toy
What unique qualities will your project have?
My project will help with focusing in class while being silent, I expect the design to not make that much noise when it's being used.
Daily Log
Day 1
I looked at other students work while making my list of ten and started experimenting with TinkerCad.
Day 2
We worked on our 3D prints, chose our favorite design, snipped it, and added it to our website.
Day 3
Worked on my project.
Day 4
I worked on my project a bit more.
Day 5
I looked at my old project from last year, made a new 3d print, and messed with the shapes and design of it.
Day 6
I worked on my reflection.
Project #1
Project #2
I made and showed the process of the Rotating Rings. They were made to fidget around with something in class and focus a bit more, I believe it would be almost silent and would hardly make a noise during class. If it comes out being quiet, it will not cause a distraction to the rest of the class.
I made and showed the process of making a bracelet holder. The name itself is pretty self explanatory of what it was made for. It was made to hold bracelets, and also has a little tray at the bottom which would also allow me to put rings and a few other stuff in there.
Project #3
Project #4
Reflection
Using TinkerCad, I created rotating rings because it would solve a problem of focusing in class.
During this process, I learned how to make rotating rings.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Empowered Learner because I set goals and completed them.
A challenge I overcame on this project was figuring out how to make the balls evenly in place. I was able to do it by highlighting all of the balls and using the centering tool.
Given a chance to do this again, I would change the idea I did. The reason why I would change it is because the idea was a bit too basic and I would've liked to make an original design.
Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing. My project connects to the Computer Programming CTE program at Hastings High School. My project connects to careers in Additive Manufacturing Engineering Technician - 3D Printing because successful printing and unpacking of parts, providing hands-on support in preparing builds, maintaining equipment, and completing initial post-processing steps.
I made and showed the process of a phone holder. I made it because it makes me mad when I'm doing something and watching something, then I prop my phone up and it falls. I decided to make that
