Using Glow forge laser cutter, PC, tinkercad, iMovie and iPad I created a hockey sign. It has to sticks crossing over each other, and says Thomas hockey club. because I wanted something cool to go in my room.

During this process, I learned how to send a svg file to someone, and also how to use a glow forge laser cutter.

The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to global collaborator because my project is on this website and this website is shared with the world.

A challenge I overcame on this project was figuring out how to use the Glow Forge. I was able to do it by Looking at the video on Mr.renner.com.

Given a chance to do this again, I would change the amount of things I do with the laser cutter. The reason why I would change it is because I don't find it that difficult and think I could do more than one project.

Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing.  My project connects to the engineering and design CTE program at Hastings High School.  

My project connects to careers in measure technician because they deal with all sorts of tools including lasers.
