Day 1 started making the carboard boat with duck tape and carboard.
Day 2 adding straws at the bottom of the boat and adding tinfoil to the entire boat.
Day 3 made the final touches to our project added more straws at the bottom of the boat and more sides to the top of the boat.
Day 4 We did the experiment and we one me and my team did we hold 343 pennies in our boat.
Using cardboard, I created a boat because it would be cool to challenge other classmates to see who could build a better boat.
During this process, I learned to make sure there is no leaks anywhere.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Innovative Designer because I used the mistakes and fixed them to make our boat.
A challenge I overcame on this project was making the straws as balance as possible on the bottom of the boat . I was able to do it by seeing if one side was heaver or lighter on a side.
Given a chance to do this again, I would change to add a little bit more duck tape. The reason why I would change it is because I feel like that was one of the reasons also why it started to sink also.
