8P10-"Passion Project"

Daily Log:

Day 1 working on the right paper airplane for it to fly the best. And the best we got it does not fly very well.

Day 2 launching the paper airplanes off the schools balcony to get the best flying motion. But that didn't go the best so we just did it on the ground.

Day 3 taking videos and pictures of the paper airplanes for the project.

• Using paper and tape, I created a paper airplane because I did this project before and it was really fun to work on.

• During this process, I learned that you most likely have to use tape for the best flite speed and motion.

• The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Innovative designer because I use a variety of technologies within a design process to identify and solve problems.

• A challenge I overcame on this project was getting the right paper airplane for the flying motion and speed. I was able to do it by using tape to hold the paper airplane.

• Given a chance to do this again, I would change look up YouTube videos on to make a good paper airplane. The reason why I would change it is because me and my teams paper airplanes suck but we still managed to get a okay video of the paper airplane flying.

• Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing. My project connects to the Engineering Design CTE program at Hastings High School. My project connects to careers in Engineering and Mechanics because I used paper and made it able to fly due to arrow dynamics.
