This project didn't take long to make and I got done after one day. in this picture you see my miniature version of Brennan that I made for this project.
This is my final product of my 3d print, modeled after Brennen and painted it kind of resembles an actual toy you would buy from some random dollar store. in this video I took you can see the print from all angles.
In this project I made the model by myself, it is modeled of Brennan but I don't think that counts.
the materials I need for this project are plastic stuff, a 3d printer, a computer, and some paints.
I plan to create a model of Brennan using a 3d printer.
my projects unique qualities is designing an object based of something else, and making it look good by adding color.
Using a 3d printer, I created A 3d plastic model of Brennen because I feel this is a good project considering a part of this reflection has a part that requires me to say the business I can use this for and I realized that there are so many companies and places that make little plastic toys, the list is almost endless.
During this process, I learned how to use certain shapes to copy an individuals traits, and how to paint little plastic toys (it was a little harder than I thought).
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to knowledge constructer because I used what I knew about 3d printing to create a basic shape of a person and give it some features like a mouth eyes etc.
A challenge I overcame on this project was trying to make Brennen's hair. I was able to do it by resizing a sphere to make it more flat and popping it on his head.
Given a chance to do this again, I would change how I painted it. The reason why I would change it is because apparently your supposed to paint the whole thing white first and then add the other colors to make them show up more that the plastic grey.
