Day 10
Submitted the size of my bank so it could get printed
Using TinkerCad and a 3D printer, I created many different ideas for a 3D print because I have the materials and recourses needed to make them.
During this process, I learned many things about how to make and design a 3D design such as making the grid a certain size and how to group things.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Innovative Designer because I used a computer to make and design a 3D piggybank and other things.
A challenge I overcame on this project was not knowing how to make one of my project completley hollow on the inside. I was able to do it by looking at the tools I had on the side bar and finding what I needed to do in order to fix it so I put a hollow peice the right size in so I could make it work.
Given a chance to do this again, I would change the amount of time it took to design. The reason why I would change it is because then I would be able to focus more on some of the smaller details to make it look a bit better than it does.
Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, and Marketing. My project connects to the Engineering Design CTE program at Hastings High School.
My project connects to careers in product design engineering because I made a design and improved it till it was almost perfect so I could use it.
