Using one of the I pads and Microphones, Gavin, Quentine,David and I created a snow day jingle of a rap/song that we came up with we used the I pad instead of the green screen because we had already used the green screen before so we wanted to try recording with the I pads.We were told to create a snow day jingle because here in Michigan it snows in October so we are supposed to have a video ready for our first snow day!Some of the class created a snow day video and some of the class created a 2 hour delay video. Gavin,Quentine and David sang the song and I recorded the song while helping them remembering the words.
During this process, I learned how to properly record a video on the I Pad. I also learned that the boys forget the words to the song a lot and that they needed assistance when it comes to remembering the words! I also learned that it's kinda difficult to figure out words that go/flow together so that the song sounds good and so it doesn't sound terrible.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Empowered learner because we got to choose what we wanted to do, Knowledge Constructor because we used things online to create this song, and Innovate Designer because we used multiple technologies to make the song .We used the I Pad and Microphone
A challenge I overcame on this project was trying to figure out words to put in the song without it sounding bad I was able to do it by looking up on YouTube and google snow day jingles and we watched them to find words and made it into our own. Then finally we figured out the right words for it all to go together and sound good!
Given a chance to do this again, I would change the length of the song because it is really short. Also, I would wanna maybe get some teachers involved with it because that would make it more fun and more interesting to watch when it goes on Facebook.I would also want a little bit more of a base to go off of like use a song but change the words to fit the situation instead of just coming up with our own words as we go.
This project connect to careers are Movie/Video directer and jobs that involve teamwork and good communicating.
